Industrial and Systems Engineering Proctor & Gamble Professor in Total Quality Pascale Carayon gave a talk about systems approaches to improving safety in hospital intensive care units at a recent meeting on systems approaches for improving health innovation. The meeting, co-sponsored by the Institutes of Medicine (IOM) and the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), was the kickoff for a new project, the IOM/NAE Systems Approaches for Improving Health Innovation Collaborative.
