Workflow Toolkit Analysis: Utility of the AHRQ Workflow Assessment Toolkit in Rural Oregon Practice

  • Overview: AHRQ requires that the previously developed (by CQPI) Workflow Assessment Toolkit is useful to small and medium sized ambulatory care clinic managers, clinicians, and staff. This project provides support to AHRQ’s Health IT Portfolio by ensuring that the Toolkit meets these conditions.

Methods: The project harmonized evaluation efforts across Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN) contractors, summarized findings from evaluations, and is providing recommendations for revision of the toolkit. Project results will ensure that the final toolkit, as disseminated, will be useful to its operators in effectively analyzing and redesigning workflow with the support of health IT.Funding: Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
